Softwiring.au is operated by Your Office Space Pty Ltd trading as Softwiring.au, ABN 92 687 472 386.

We want you to receive the right products for your project. If something is not right, contact the Softwiring team at hello@softwiring.au with your order number and a description of the issue.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect products

If your order arrives damaged, contains an incorrect item or appears faulty, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible. Photos can help us assess the issue, where practical.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not limited by this policy, a manufacturer's warranty or our change-of-mind return period.

For a major product failure, you may choose a refund or replacement. For a minor problem, we may arrange a free repair or another appropriate remedy within a reasonable time. Other remedies may apply if the problem cannot be resolved within a reasonable time.

You do not need the original packaging to make a consumer-guarantee claim, although we may request reasonable proof of purchase. We will assist you directly rather than requiring you to resolve the issue with the manufacturer.

Change-of-mind returns for standard products

For standard products, you may request a change-of-mind return within 14 days of delivery. Products must be unused, uninstalled and unaltered; complete with supplied components and instructions; and in their original packaging and suitable for resale.

Custom-made, made-to-order, cut-to-length, modified and specifically sourced special-order products are excluded from change-of-mind returns. Any special-order exclusion will be disclosed before you purchase.

These conditions apply only to change-of-mind returns. They do not restrict your rights where a product is faulty, incorrectly supplied, misdescribed or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee.

Made-to-order products

Made-to-order products cannot be cancelled or returned simply because you change your mind. If we agree to an exceptional cancellation or return, a fee of 50% of the affected product price applies, provided this condition was disclosed before purchase and is lawful in the circumstances.

This fee does not apply to a cancellation, return or other remedy required under the Australian Consumer Law, including for faulty, misdescribed or incorrectly supplied goods.

Arranging a return

Please contact us before posting a return so we can provide the correct return address and handling instructions.

For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for return freight and appropriate protective packaging. We recommend using a tracked service.

Where a product problem covered by consumer guarantees is confirmed, we will arrange or reimburse reasonable return transport costs. For products that cannot reasonably be returned by you, we will discuss collection arrangements.

Refunds

For an accepted change-of-mind return of a standard product, we will refund the returned product price. Original delivery charges are not refundable for change-of-mind returns, except where required by law. No restocking fee applies to accepted standard-product change-of-mind returns. The separate made-to-order exception above applies only where agreed and lawful.

Refunds will normally be made to the original payment method. We will confirm the outcome and refund arrangements after assessing the returned goods. Your payment provider may take additional time to display the refund.

Where consumer law requires a refund or other remedy, we will provide it without restricting you to store credit.

Ordered the wrong part?

Please contact us before installation. We can help check product codes, dimensions and available information. If we supplied the wrong product or a product does not match our description or agreed advice, we will address that separately from a change-of-mind request.
