Softwiring GPOs are the fixed connection points — installed by a licensed electrician, they form the permanent side of the softwiring system. Softwiring components plug into them. When the layout changes, you re-route the softwiring components — no electrician call-out for reconfiguration beyond the fixed GPOs.
